The American magazine Medical Digest featured Dr. Gharib in a 1965 series of articles on prominent physicians worldwide.
For his lifetime of service, he was honored on a stamp, issued by Iran, in 1991.
Dr. Gharib is remembered as a beloved mentor to his students and a dedicated physician to his patients. He was admired and revered by so many.
Gharib passed away in 1353 after years of struggling with bladder cancer.
